U.S. Cutsoms and Border Protection (CBP) within The Department of Homeland Security has started a pilot program called "Global Entry Program." By paying 100 dollars and going through a rigorous background check beforehand, a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident may go through immigration by scanning a passport/permanent resident card, providing a fignerprint, and filling out custom declaration form at a kiosk at major airports in the U.S. without waiting in line to be inspected by an immigration officer.
